Twin honour for MATSYAFED
bags 2 National recognitions
Matsyafed has won two, national level recognitions for best performance during 2009; one for its news letter ‘Matsya’ and the other for the best co-operative institution in the fisheries sector in India.
This is for the second time consecutively that ‘Matsya’ bags the award -instituted by the National Cooperative Union -for best journal in the cooperative sec or in the country.
Sri. Dineshaw J. Patel, Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India presented the award to Adv. V V Saseendran, Chairman, Matsyafed, in New Delhi

Simultaneously, Matsyafed was adjudged the best cooperative institution in the fisheries sector in the country and was conferred with the ‘Matsya Sahakar Seva Award’ by the National Federation of Fishermen’s Cooperatives (Fishcopfed) for meritorious services in the sector.
